It’s up to you. You can stay home while our cleaners work, or head out and let us in by key, lockbox or concierge. Many clients leave because the team can move from room to room faster without working around anyone, but staying is completely fine.
If you stay home
- Pick one room to work or relax in, and let the team know so they can clean it first or last
- Keep pets in a separate room or crate so they’re safe and calm
- Do a quick walkthrough at the start to point out priorities, then let the team work
- Stay home for the first visit if you’d like to meet the team and show them around
If you leave
- Key: leave a spare key with us or in an agreed spot
- Lockbox: share the code when you book
- Concierge: for Toronto condos, let your front desk know a cleaning team is coming and add us to the visitor list
- Leave a short note with any priorities, alarm instructions and which rooms to skip
- Put away valuables, cash and important documents, which is a good habit with any service provider
Why many clients choose to leave
Cleaners work fastest in an empty home, so you get more cleaning done in the same booking. You also come back to a finished home, without the noise of vacuums or the smell of fresh products.
Our cleaners are background-checked and the company is fully insured, so you can feel comfortable either way. See how to check if a cleaning company is insured for what to look for.
