Welcome to the Topic “Cleaning Forgotten Spots at your Home”
Coming home to a clean and organised house after a long day at work is the ultimate in relaxation. The act of keeping your house clean is an art form in and of itself. Your home may be transformed into a sanctuary of positive energy and healthy living practises by using dusters, washcloths, detergent, and every other item in your toolbox. However diligently and thoroughly you clean every nook and cranny of your home, there may be a few spots that are concealing a world of dust and debris in the corners of your home despite your best efforts.
UNDER AND BEHIND SOFAS, BEDS AND REFRIGERATORS
At home, the region behind and beneath large pieces of furniture, such as beds, sofas, and refrigerators, is one of the most common spots that people fail to clean. Consider making it a point to do so at least once a week to avoid dust bunnies from accumulating on these items. This is especially problematic for persons who suffer from dust allergies, so make sure to include them on your list of places to clean around your house.
Stove Grates
When finished removing your stove grates, soak them for approximately 30 minutes in a sink filled with warm, soapy water. Use a non-abrasive sponge to scrub away any sticky or oily areas that have remained on your grates after cleaning them with a mixture of baking soda and warm water to ensure that they are completely removed. With a clean towel, wipe away any remaining residue.
THROW PILLOWS, CURTAINS AND UPHOLSTERY
Even while we are well aware of the importance of regularly changing the pillow covers and sheets in the bedroom, what about the throw pillows and furniture upholstery on the sofas? Throw pillow covers should be cleaned on a regular basis, and upholstery should be vacuumed at least once a week, if not more. When it comes to washing materials in the house, one of the things that people tend to overlook to clean is the curtain. While it is difficult to clean them on a weekly basis, sending them to the cleaners once every few months will prevent a significant amount of dust from accumulating.
Toothbrush Holders
You may not want to know what’s lurking at the bottom of your toothbrush holders, but trust us when we say that they need to be cleaned on a regular basis to keep them working properly. At the very least, once a month, run your holders through the dishwasher on the top rack.
REMOTE CONTROLS AND KEYBOARDS
The fact that we have colonies of germs on our fingertips as a result of spending a major amount of our day in front of computers or on our phones is now well known. Clean your keyboard and remote controls every day before you use them to avoid them becoming breeding grounds for germs and viruses. You can clean between the grooves with q-tips dipped in disinfectant, which will result in very clean surfaces to tap on when finished.
